Betsson Group is looking for
Swedish freelance translators to support our operations based in Malta. There is however no need to relocate to Malta for this role. To provide this service, you must have excellent skills in translating to Swedish from English. Furthermore, we are looking for freelancers who are able to not only translate, but localize and, when necessary transcreate/rewrite, for the Swedish market. You also need to have a strong command of English.
Description of Service
The freelance translator/copywriter has the very important task of taking all text related content which is created for promotions, banners, newsletters, sports, casino and poker in English and localizing the text into their native language.
The freelance translator/copywriter will be responsible in ensuring that the business is able to effectively communicate its products to existing and potential customers, including responsibility for their language quality across all products, webpages and brands including betsson.com, betsafe.com, nordicbet.com and casinoeuro.com, to name a few.
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for someone with the ability to write in different styles, preferably with experience in an online marketing environment. Experience in writing sales copy and an interest in online gaming would be beneficial.

Examples of tasks
- Translation and localization of campaigns, promotions, newsletters, landing pages, etc.
- Reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained.
- Use of online specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used.
- Research of industry specific text and phrases to find the correct translation.
- Delivery of quality written text within short deadlines.
- Enhancements of existing campaigns and promotions or delivery from scratch.
- Proofreading and editing final translated versions of copy.
- Prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
- Consulting with product and brand experts.
- Maintaining the quality of texts across all websites, banners, newsletters and products.
Desirable Qualifications
- Excellent written language skills
- English language skills also a must
- General IT-knowledge: Internet, Browsers, MS Office, Basic CMS Tools and Translation Tools
- Excellent typing skills
- No criminal record
- Previous experience working within the copywriting and/or language industry will be considered an asset
- Experience within the iGaming industry will also be considered an asset
